Happy news!

Train ticket to Glasgow purchased. Lovely hotel room booked just a few blocks from the train station, WITH its own bathroom, across the street from the Glasgow Art School. Hip! Hip! Hooray! for Ravelry.com, where I received excellent recommendations and advice from fellow knitters. Love that community. Also talked with Ardunan Farm and I’m set to help there starting on Wednesday. They have baby chickens and ducks and lambs and keep pigs and apparently there is a lot of work to be done. Their last WWOOFer was a very lazy Australian 20-something who did his work but then spent the rest of his time sleeping and watching tv in his room. I think David and Gillian will be pleasantly surprised when I show up.

Now that’s all taken care of, I can get on with recounting tales of the Cotswolds.

BTW, very happy to see comments posted. I love hearing from everyone. Makes me feel like you’re all along on the trip with me. I haven’t responded much via the blog, but I do see them and am tickled by them. XOXOX to you all!

Here’s a picture of Carly, the very elderly cat. She took her pill quite easily this morning. Probably because I broke it into multiple pieces and smooshed them into chunks of chicken. I’m no dummy.

    • The farm is located just outside Glasgow, near a small village called Strathblane. You can google it to see exactly where I’ll be. I think I will be there two weeks until heading down to Castlecreavie. Very excited! (Now that I’m not nervous anymore.)

  1. Since you are going to be in Glasgow are you going to get in touch with Reneee…I can’t remember if she is going to be gone when you are up there. Everything here okay, Dad’s watering and I m going to get more summer stuff out, as it is supposed to go to 88 today. Love, Mom

    • Hi! checked her earlier emails and saw she’d be out of town at a wedding. So I let her know I’d be close to Glasgow the next couple weeks and that we might get a chance to meet for tea or something. The farm is right on a bus route into town. I will let you know if we have a chance to get together!

  2. I’m entranced with the stories about your trip! The void left by Downton Abby is now filled with Suzie’s great adventures. Can’t wait for the next episode!
